This is one of two quilts that Doris made to honor her grandsons' military careers. The red and white stripes are machine pieced, the rest is hand pieced. The stars are PERFECTLY hand appliqued with the blanket stitch. What a wonderful tribute from a proud gramma. Monday, February 8, 2010
