Veronica's Broken Star

Isn't this breath taking?! Veronica's piecing of this complicated pattern was excellent!
She wanted it to be quilted with old fashioned feathers.
The square, triangle, and border motifs were designed by "Three Sisters".

I guess that my photo doesnt show how perfectly those 8 points in the center matched. Masterful!

Robyn's Quilts

This elegant quilt needed elegant quilting.
Robyn chose "Abudant Feathers" designed by Three Sisters.

This pattern is "Lady Liberty" by Karen Stone.
Robyn did a great job with all of these heavily pieced and curved seams!

Claire's Scrap Exchange

If you scroll back a month or so, you'll see some of this quilt's sisters.
This one is quilted with the "Bubbles" pantograph and bright variegated thread.

Lori's Quilts

This bold quilt uses the "Gotham" series of fabrics by Benetrex. The center is quilted with Jodi Beamish's "Water World" pantograph.
The border is custom quilted. It took great bravery and advanced mathmatics for Lori to perfectly match and miter the 4 corners. Can you find the seam? Very skillful, Lori!

Isn't this an interesting way to set sampler blocks? Lori made this for her lucky sister who loves purple.
The pretty peach color of the backing doesn't show up well, but the pantograph is "Gingko Leaves" by Tammy Finkler.

Schley's Quilts

Schley teaches a class in how to make a "Trip Around the World". Now this class sample will be a gift for a friend.
It is quilted with Jessica Schnick's "Luscious Leaves" pantograph.

Here is another "Trip". Isn't this stunning?
Here's a close up of some of the fabrics. It is quilted with the "Bubbles" pantograph. This is going to Schley's daughter who will be moving to a new apartment soon.
And this Strips and Curves wall quilt will hang above the bed!

Wilma's Quilts

Wilma made this quilt as a gift for her daughter's 25th wedding anniversery.
She chose wool batting which gave it a wonderful loft.

This quilt is a gift for Wilma's grand daughter who is doing an internship with "Dancing Horses". Can you see the quilted hearts? It was made with lots of love.

Aileen's Bear

Aileen machine appliqued soft brown fabric for this adorable bear. The bear is outlined with stitches and there are bees quilted into the background. This is a gift for her soon-to-be-born grandchild.

Lory's Colourful Quilt

I was honored to be asked to quilt this masterpiece! It was designed by Jacqueline de Jonge and the book is called "Be Colourful, The Colourful Quilt".
Lory is a masterful piecer! For all it's curves and contortions, the quilt was perfectly flat!

I quilted much of the background with teeny pebbles to mimic the print of the fabric.
Then it was a matter of deciding what to quilt and what to leave alone for textural contrast.
Lory included tons of great batiks. And notice all the gradations. It will be a wonderful wall quilt!

Lorraine's Quilts

This is a very masculine quilt.
It is quilted with Jodi Beamish's "Maple Syrup". It shows up nicely on the plain backing.

This quilt is the result of a bee block exchange. You can find some of her sisters in previous posts. This one is quilted in Jodi Beamish's "Daisy Swirl".

Laurel's Baby Quilt

Another joyful baby quilt!
Laurel chose the "Popcorn" pantograph because it looks like clouds.

Sharon's Granddaughter Quilts

This is the same prolific Sharon who made the baby quilt a few posts ago. She has also made quilts for her grand daughters' Christmas presents!
These designs are from the book, "Quilts on the Double".
They are all quilted with Keryn Emmerson's "Butterfly Ballet".
Sharon chose King Tut "Egyptian Princess" which is hot pink and purple variegated thread.

Bre's Baby Quilt

My niece, Bre, is expecting her first baby next month. It has motivated her to make her first quilt!
The backing is a soft, soft Minkee fabric, and the pantograph is "Jungle Leaves".

Marilyn's Quilt

Marilyn made this reversible quilt for her husband. One side is flannel and it has wool batting. It's luscious!
It is quilted with Jodi Beamish's "Wood Grain" pantograph.

Karen's Retirement Gift

Karen made this for a friend who is retiring. The pattern is "True Lover's Knot".
It is quilted with Jodi Beamish's "Popcorn" pantograph. We experimented with a new 50% cotton, 50% poly batting. It feels pretty good!

Lyn's Quilts

Lyn added borders to enhance this cool panel.

The background fabric is black. One is polished and one isn't which results in more eye appeal.

Won't this be a pretty wall quilt?

Lyn is going to wash it so all those little squares on the flowers will frazzle into chenille.

The photo doesn't enhance the fun yellow and purple fabrics very well. It's a fun combination.

It is quilted with the "Blowing in the Wind" pantograph.
