Shirley's Christmas Jewel

This quilt took a lot of piecing! The pattern is officially "Faceted Jewels".

Shirley used Christmas fabrics for this beautiful scrap quilt.

Laurel's HOT Batik Quilt

Laurel had better come pick up this quilt soon or it is going to disappear - I LOVE this fabric!

It is quilted with a pattern called "Aloha" by Intelligent Quilting.

Mary's Birthday Gift

Mary made this pretty batik quilt for her almost-daughter-in-law's 30 birthday.

Lory's Baby Quilt

Lory is making this for a coming grandchild. She said that she blew up the design on the crib sheets by about 600% to get these cute animals. The background is quilted with loop-d-loops and there are jungle leaves in the green area. Look at the outer border. She is going to trim it into those zig zags so she'll have LOTS of right angles to bind.

Schley's Bejeweled Quilt

Bejeweled is another class that Schley teaches at Pieceful Hearts.

These are all straight seams - but the design looks curved.

Schley's Diamond Dust

Schley will soon be teaching a class on how to make this quilt at Pieceful Hearts in Lisle. The pattern is from a book called Geometric Gems. It can be made with Jelly Rolls.

Wendy's Wool Quilt

This is a block of the month that Wendy made. It turns out that it is a tribute to her old stomping grounds. She'll be moving to Atlanta soon.

Sharon's Quilts

Sharon is one of my most prolific piecers. She loves bright colors.

She finally got around to making a quilt for her husband. Can you see the quilting?

This is an experiment in using up scraps. It is quilted with a pantograph called "Contempo".

More creative scrap use. This one is quilted with the Pizazz pantograph.

I try to keep Sharon as busy at binding as she keeps me with quilting!

Pauline's Quilts

Pauline is mopping up some UFO's. The pinwheel quilt above is quilted with a blowing leaf and pinwheel pantograph. I like the way Pauline did the borders.

Isn't this a great way to use fabric that is just too pretty to cut up? Pauline sponsors a girl in Thailand and is giving this to her for her birthday.

Pauline was trying to make a dent in her blue and green stash with this star quilt. She said that she only fluffed up the piles.

Gina's Memory Quilts

Quite a while ago I was given a bag of clothing worn by Gina's mom. Night shirts, t-shirts, sweaters, dresses....... I was asked to make 4 quilts trying to use as many items as possible.

These are numbers 3 and 4. I hope that these will evoke some fond memories of mom.
