Connie's Class Samples

This quilt is called "Westminster Roman Stripes". The colors are so saturated and rich!

The light area is quilted with flowers and the dark area is quilted with soft swirls. Connie teaches at Pieceful Hearts in Lisle, IL.

This one is "Really Remarkable Roman Stripes".

I quilted an "Africanish" motif in the triangles to go with the fabrics.

This is "Hot Diamonds". The fabrics are so happy! I especially love the stipe in the outer diamond that help frame the quilt.

It is hard to see the crazy leaf pantograph I quilted to go with all of those crazy flowers.

Molly's Birthday Quilt

Molly is a little traumatized by her upcoming significant birthday. I helped her husband and 3 kids make this quilt to ease the transition.

Marty's Wedding Quilt

Marty made this happy quilt for her niece's wedding.

Here's a shot of the backing. It is quilted with swirls since it was a consistant motif in the front fabrics.

Carmel's Liberty of London Curved Log Cabin

I probably should have paid Carmel for the pleasure of quilting this quilt. I caressed the soft, soft fabrics repeatedly!

The navy background fabric was almost as sumptuous as the Liberty of London fabric! Carmel chose green thread for the navy background. And we chose leaves to go with all the printed flowers. Very striking!

Sheila's Good Night Moon

Our bee, the MCQuilters, immortalized this beloved book as our group project last year. Shiela is giving this to one of her grandsons.

To save our sanity, some of the details were done with permanent marker.

Jan's Quilts

This little quilt features some tiny cross stitch blocks that Jan did years ago.

The blocks are quilted with a feather wreath and the border is quilted with holly leaves.

This center pieces of this fun lone star were fussy cut.

It is quilted with feathers.

Karen's Roman Stripes

The neutral colors of this quilt are great! I have to admit that I didn't see the star until I took the photo. That sometimes happens when you are so close to the piecing. Now I love it even more! It is quilted with "Gingko Leaves".

Jann's Annie Quilt

Jann will be teaching some tricks to making this quilt at Judy's Quilt and Sew in Hampshire. The pattern was developed to show-case fabrics that are just too pretty to cut up.

Diana's Wedding Gifts

Diana made these for friends who are getting married this summer. The one above was quilted with a modified Baptist Fan

This one was custom quilted. It took twice as long and therefore cost twice as much. It is interesting to be able to compare whether you think is is worth the extra expense.

Bre's Eye Spy

Bre whipped this up for her little boy who is just starting to crawl. Before she knows it, he'll be naming everything in it.

Lyn's Dresden Star

Lyn started this beauty in an Edyta Sitar workshop. The photo does not do justice to the wonderful fabric choices.

It is quilted with lots of feathers and swirls. The spikey white part of the flower is dimensional and raises off the quilt.

Kay's Baby Quilt

This will be for one of Kay's great grandchildren!

Bonnie's African Quilt

Quilts made from these wonderful fabrics don't need to be very complicated. It is quilted with Jodi Beamish's "Woodpile" pantograph.

Lori's Bargellos

Lori wrestled with not one, but two queen size quilts for her daughters.

This one had butterflies in the border fabric so we used a butterfly pantograph. Here is a close up of the pretty fabrics.

This one was quilted with the "popcorn" pantograph. Also, we experimented with 2 different battings to Lori could see which one she likes over a period of time. (Sorry, Lori, I know this one is sideways.)

More gorgeous fabric. Lori must be pretty good at sewing long, straight seams now!
